Who We Are
Sr. AA hockey in the WCSHL, built by and for the Nanaimo community.
The Nanaimo Steelmen Association exists to give everyone involved in the club — players, coaches, parents, and officials — a positive hockey experience, one we believe strengthens the growth and inclusivity of hockey right across Vancouver Island.
We're a Sr. AA club competing in the WCSHL, but the game we're building goes beyond the scoreboard. Amateur sports, run the right way, benefit both the people playing and the community around them. That's the standard we hold ourselves to on and off the ice.
The Steelmen promote sportsmanship, fair play, and equal opportunity for every participant, and we treat the sport itself as a tool for personal development — for our players and for the younger athletes watching from the stands.
The Nanaimo Steelmen operate on a non-profit basis. Any profits go back into our mission: promoting the club's objectives, covering player costs, and supporting the local community that supports us. #STEELDONTFEEL
