Amateur sports, run the right way, benefit both the people playing and the community around them. That's the standard we hold ourselves to on and off the ice.<\/p>\r\n      <p>The Steelmen promote sportsmanship, fair play, and equal opportunity for every participant, and we treat the sport itself as a tool for personal development \u2014 for our players and for the younger athletes watching from the stands.<\/p>\r\n      <p>The Nanaimo Steelmen operate on a non-profit basis.
